血液に関する疫病の原因を遺伝子とタンパク質の分子レベルの研究をしている。特に、血液が凝固する時に必要な血液凝固因子や凝固した血液を分解する働きをする線容因子、その関連の因子の分子の異常や生合成の異常を調べ疾病との関係について研究している。
