研究テーマ

  • モンテカルロ法や準モンテカルロ法という数値積分の手法や、関連する組合せ論を主に研究しています。
    例えば地図上の湖の面積を求めるとき、地図上からランダムに点を取って湖の上にある点の割合を求めるのがモンテカルロ法、ランダムな点の代わりに数学的に作られた一様性の高い点集合を使うのが準モンテカルロ法です。どちらの手法も高次元の問題に対応できるというメリットがあります。
