  • 基盤研究(C)，2014年04月 ～ 2017年03月，C型インフルエンザウイルスのNS1タンパク質がウイルス増殖を調節する機序の解明

    C型インフルエンザウイルスのNS1タンパク質の167-171, 189-196番目のアミノ酸配列に核移行シグナルを同定した。109-126番目に２つの核外移行シグナル（NES）のコンセンサス配列があるがNESとして働かないというC型に特有な成績を得た(第62, 63回日本ウイルス学会)。

  • 基盤研究(C)，2012年04月 ～ 2015年03月，CM2の塩素イオンチャネル活性はC型インフルエンザウイルスの増殖を制御するか？

    我々の確立したreverse genetics （J Virol. 81(16): 8766-73, 2007）で翻訳後修飾を欠く組換えC型インフルエンザウイルスを作製して、CM2の量体形成と糖鎖付加がウイルス増殖に関与することを明らかにした(PLoS One. 8(4): e60510, 2013)。

  • 基盤研究(C)，2011年04月 ～ 2014年03月，C型インフルエンザウイルスの増殖を制御するNS1蛋白の機能ドメインの解明

    NS1欠失変異体の解析から、NS1タンパク質の1-62, 109-154番目のアミノ酸領域に各々核移行シグナル、核外移行シグナルが含まれる可能性が示唆された。

  • 基盤研究(C)，2008年04月 ～ 2011年03月，C型インフルエンザウイルスのイオンチャネル蛋白CM2の増殖と病原性における役割

    我々の確立したＣ型インフルエンザのウイルス様粒子を作製する系（J.Gen.Virol. 85, 1885-93,2004）を用い、CM2が脱殻とウイルスゲノムのウイルス粒子への取り込みに関与することを明らかにした (J. Virol. 85 (3): 1322-29, 2011)。

  • 基盤研究(C)，2005年04月 ～ 2007年03月，Ｃ型インフルエンザウイルスのスプライシング調節機序が増殖に及ぼす影響

    Ｃ型のNS1蛋白が、Ａ型のNS1とは逆に、ウイルスmRNAのスプライシングを促進することを明らかにした（J Virol. 84 (4):1957-66, 2010）。

  • 基盤研究(C)，2001年04月 ～ 2003年03月，Ｃ型インフルエンザウイルスNS遺伝子産物の性状と機能

    Ｃ型ウイルスのヒト社会での広がりやすさをＮＳ遺伝子産物が規定している可能性を示し、22kDaのNS2蛋白の同定にも成功した (J. Gen. Virol. 81, 1933, 2000)。

  • 基盤研究(C)，1999年04月 ～ 2001年03月，Ｃ型インフルエンザウイルスCM2蛋白のイオンチャネル活性に関する研究

    CM2蛋白の翻訳後修飾(アシル化,リン酸化, S-S結合による量体形成)部位を決定した(J. Gen. Virol. 82, 1085, 2001)。更にCM2が電位依存性でCl−選択性のイオンチャネルを形成することを明らかにした (Arch. Virol. 149, 35, 2004)。

  • 基盤研究(C)，1997年04月 ～ 1999年03月，Ｃ型インフルエンザウイルスＣＭ２蛋白の翻訳開始機構とイオンチャネル活性

    CM2の前駆蛋白であるＭ遺伝子unspliced mRNAに由来する374アミノ酸からなる蛋白(P42)の検出に成功した (J. Gen. Virol. 79, 2207, 1998)。さらにP42が、小胞体内腔のシグナルペプチダーゼによる開裂を受け260〜374番めからなるCM2が作られる生合成機序を明らかにした (J. Virol. 73, 46, 1999)。

  • 一般研究（C），1995年04月 ～ 1997年03月，Ｃ型インフルエンザウイルスのイオンチャネル候補蛋白の性状と発現様式

    CM2蛋白の生化学的性状（①４種類の翻訳後修飾（糖鎖の付加、４量体の形成、パルミチン酸の付加、リン酸化）を受ける。②Ⅲ型膜蛋白としてのトポロジーをもつ。③一部のＣＭ２分子はウイルス粒子に取り込まれる。）の多くがA型のM2と共有することを明らかにした (J. Virol. 71, 2786, 1997, Virus Res. 58, 65, 1998)。

  • 奨励研究(Ａ)，1993年04月 ～ 1994年03月，Ｃ型インフルエンザウイルスのイオンチャネル蛋白の検索

    Ｍ遺伝子のunspliced mRNAがspliced mRNAの約10%の割合で存在することを明らかにし、同mRNAがコードする18kDaのCM2蛋白を同定した (J. Gen. Virol. 75, 3503, 1994)。
