応用言語学および第二言語習得を専門とし、特に言語学習における個人差に関心を持っています。現在は、第二言語学習者の認知的多様性、特に心的イメージ能力の個人差やアファンタジアに着目し、それらが語彙学習、言語理解、言語学習ストラテジーにどのような影響を与えるかについて研究しています。また、英語教育、コミュニカティブ・ランゲージ・ティーチング、コーパス言語学、大学EFL学習者のための効果的な教材および学習環境の開発にも関心があります。

研究テーマ

  • My research focuses on individual differences in second language learning, particularly how differences in mental imagery and cognitive processing affect the ways people learn languages. My current research examines aphantasia and the broader spectrum of visual imagery, with the aim of understanding how learners with different cognitive profiles may use different strategies for vocabulary learning, reading, listening, and other aspects of language learning. I am also interested in applied linguistics, corpus linguistics, vocabulary, and language teaching materials.
